Design Objectives:
To repurpose some of the historical collections that are being hung in the space.
To identify natural user behaviours and flow in the space, which could inform the allocation of specific areas.
To employ a thoughtful selection of colours, paint, and vinyl materials.
To enhance the aesthetic appeal of the space by leveraging the existing columns.

Design Execution
Repurposing Historical Collections:
Exploring the Artifacts: I began by carefully examining the historical collections available. Each piece had its own story, and I wanted to understand its significance.

Strategic Placement: We strategically placed these repurposed artefacts throughout the store, and some became part of the gallery wall.

Understanding Natural User Behaviours and Flow:
People-watching: I spent time observing customers as they moved through the space. It was fascinating to see their paths and preferences.

Mapping Traffic: After observing foot traffic patterns, I adjusted our layout based on these insights.

Allocating Space: We created comfortable seating areas, and positioned checkout zones strategically.

Thoughtful Selection of Colours, Paint, and Vinyl Materials:
Colour Psychology: I considered how different colours impact emotions. Warm tones for urgency, cool tones for calmness, and neutrals for a timeless backdrop.

Application Techniques: We experimented with accent walls, repainting columns, new signage and wall art. Durability was key.

Brand Consistency: Our choices aligned with the brand’s identity and overall aesthetic.

Leveraging Existing Columns for Aesthetic Appeal:
Column Makeover: We transformed plain columns into design features by repainting them to give them a cleaner look and feel.

Greenery Touch: We installed some artificial plants to the walls and as well as combined column and sitting sites to add a relaxed touch to the space.
